 When I was a little boy my nursery teacher asked all the children, one by one, what they would like to do when they grow up, all the kids said different things from Formula 1 Drivers and Football Players to Space Cowboys, then it was my turn, I stood-up and said ‘i'd like to be a doctor as I want to make a difference in people's lives'. Unfortunately, I was never smart enough to be a doctor and am very humbled and privileged anytime I am teaching one in pickup. However, one of the greatest moments not only in my pickup career, but in life, was when one particular student, who quickly became a good friend of mine, told me that a year before we met and he began learning the art of pickup from me, he was in hospital fighting for his life after a serious accident crashing his motorcycle. He was really thankful to all the amazing doctors that saved his life, but he felt it was only after meeting his now wife, that he felt he finally had a new lease in life. You see the moments before the accident he was feeling like the life had been sucked out of him, as he was upset having just broken-up with his longterm girlfriend of seven years and he thought she was the one and they'd go the distance. I was shocked when he told me all of this in a thank you note and wrote ‘he would have never had the ability to approach the woman of his dreams were it not for our training' That to me was very humbling and I realised the best part of my work now is that even though i'm not intelligent enough or dedicated enough to be a doctor, I still have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. As such here are just a small handful of testimonials... ALSO, I NOW REFUSE TO START ANY ONE OF MY WORKSHOPS WITHOUT WOMEN PRESENT AS I AM PROUD OF WHAT I TEACH AND I WANT A WOMAN’S POINT OF VIEW INVOLVED - AFTER ALL IT IS A NATURAL AND HONEST STYLE OF GAME. |
