Fashion and Image – A few Basics
Ok first things first thanks to all the comments on my last entry!!
So today im just gonna drop a few basics which if you aren’t already doing then you need to fix up and start doing it now… right now… right fing now I said!!!
But remember all these points are generalisations if you don’t agree that’s your opinion your welcome to voice it. But trust me for the average guy these rules will help!! They are the tip of the iceberg as far as fashion and appearance is concerned but they are also the points that left unchallenged will have the most obvious negative effect.
IN NO ORDER OF PRORITY
1.Hit the gym – This isn’t strictly fashion advice but I like to think my domain covers all areas of personal appearance. There’s really no excuse for slacking in the gym, with a bit of hard work everyone can look good, or at least better! If you are in good shape you can wear clothes that will accentuate your physique, you will feel stronger and thus more confident and most importantly you will look and feel sexier. Remember women think like men… when you see a chick with great boobs you wanna look and touch it ignites animal instincts, a rippling pair of guns will have the same effect!
2.Wear Clothes that fit well!! Clothes that cut out the shape of your body!
Blazers should be a tight fit over your back and shoulders, they should feel tight and almost restricting, when your arms are relaxed they should barely infringe on your hand, they should not come down lower than the middle of your bottom, anything lower is a suit jacket. Suit jackets are not blazers it is not acceptable to simply wear a suit jacket with jeans! This may work in some cases but more often than not it will look baggy and out of shape in comparison with jeans. Suit jackets have more defined shoulder pads, not a good look. Blazers should fasten comfortably but tight, if you can grab a handful of excess material from the back of your blazer when it is done up then it is too big. The same point applies for T – shirts and shirts!
Jeans. Wear fitted jeans if your skinny or slim wear skinny or slim legged jeans the shape will cut out a strong male silhouette and again looks sexy!! Furthermore the slimmer the jean on your leg the slimmer your legs will look thus the smaller your waist will look and the bigger your chest will look. Also a slimmer leg jean makes you legs look longer and thus you taller. Furthermore love it or hate it skinny jeans are currently very fashionable. So all you guys who are scared by this notion… deal with it!!
For the chunkier guy try relaxed fit jeans or straight leg jeans. Something with a fitted straight leg will have the good points I mentioned above but will not make you look fat or too stocky. For the larger gent it’s best to wear dark coloured jeans, the darker the colour the slimmer the leg will look.
Finally lose the boot cut, you aint a cowboy or in the early nineties so don’t dress like you are.
3. Wear nice shoes. If you going to wear sneakers make sure there clean and plain. Converse or plimsoles. Lose the big Nike’s with too much colour and big f*%k-off air bubbles and fing burn any lame brand ugly old training shoes! I still see PUA’s wearing shitty old sneakers with grubby old laces!!! Get a life dudes!!!
4. Keep a happy medium with hair styling! Guys who spike there hair too much wear outrageous Mohicans, bleach there hair etc. look like they should be on X factor or Pop Idol or at best working in a tacky hair dresser! However guys who just leave there hair as an unstyled mop look even worse, like they should be at home reading fishing magazines or talking about animal cruelty with their grandmother!! If you don’t know what to do keep it short and smart! Take a handful of wax and mess the crown up, then push the front forward into a messy quiff. If your bald… that sux for you… only joking… in nine out of ten cases you will look better with a shaved head on a long grade. Shaved heads also look great with short clean stubble which brings me to my next point….
5. Facial Hair. Facial Hair always looks better on fair haired guys! If you are dark haired be carful and if you insist on trying it make sure it is very well kept. Blonde guys look a bit rough and ready whereas dark guys just look homeless!! A good tip for keeping a good length is to use hair clippers without a guard, this will give blonde guys the perfect length after a day or so growth and dark guys after a night!
6. Less is more. Stick to low key colours good fits and trendy styles. Peacocking is sometimes a great weapon but in general you are more likely to end up looking like a peahead or just a c^&k
7. Keep you nails short and clean, it should go without saying but so many guys still don’t come correct on this one!
Ok so that’s all your getting today I hope it was of some use…
Peace out
Ollie
Enjoyed this post? Then you're going to LOVE the material we've got waiting for you....here
Good post Ollie!
I think there are some good tips in this post. I tend to be a little more relaxed with my style, but to each is his own. I would just say that if you see an item of clothing that you like, but it’s not a great fit, you can always get it tailored.
How about some of the clothes every man should have in his wardrobe Ollie?
Have fun guys.
Regards,
JonDoe.
Yeah that’s true! Being well groomed is very important. It shows health and someone who knows how to take care of themselves (and possibly others).
Also, wearing clothes that are well – fit and clean, most of the times is even better than wearing expensive clothes. So we don’t need to spend a fortune on clothes in order to look good. As Ollie suggested better than me we can dress like money even if we shop at outlets instead of Armani.
There’s only one thing I would like to add and I’m sure Ollie didn’t mention it because it’s too basic but it is also very important!! Being clean. Shower everyday and more than once and use a good deodorant and a fragrance. This might seem stupid to add but it is very important. I encountered someone recently who smelled awful. There was pretty much noting that person could say or do to make it bearable and to change my impression about them. It was just repulsive.. We don’t want women to have that impression about us.. do we?
And become obsessed with the gym. Your brain releases the same substance when you’re working out as when you are on drugs (endorphines) and makes you feel high!! And if you think about it the gym is cheaper, it makes you look sexier and it’s good for your health!! Need I say more??
I never knew what cut to get for jeans… It dosen’t stop me being scared of Skinny Jeans but I might give them more than a cursory glance next time.
Make sure you are wearing the clothes right too, Give yourself the twice over in a mirror and experiment by wearing the shirt different ways before settling. It sounds obvious, and it is, but so many guys look like they don’t do it.
Also, no matter what hairstyle you are going for, wetlook gel is horrible IMO, it just looks like grease, yuck. Also a girl wants to be able to touch/run her hands through your hair, too much gel makes it gross.
I think a dark haired guy can can rock a beard, you just got to ROCK it, caveman style. A beard and a suit makes a cool combo. Scrubious pip is a good example.
… anyway enough beard chat…
Great blog. I’m going to post my thoughts on each of your points in order:
1. Stick to the gym. You don’t have to go overboard (like some guys who think that the bigger the muscles, the more numerous the girls), but being at least reasonably fit is always good. Like Ollie said, it does wonders for your confidence.
2. I think skinny guys have to watch out for too tight clothing. I don’t think looking like you’re falling apart is very attractive, but then again; that’s just my opinion. I’m rather skinny and although I don’t like baggy clothing, I watch out for tight pants as they just make me look like a stick-man.
3. Totally agree.
4. Different hair types have different limitations. I, for example, have very rough hair and have to keep it at the level where it’s not too short (and just stands up straight into the air) and not too long (and kinda makes my head look twice it’s size…kinda like the Beetles). Then there are people who look good with long hair, short hair etc.
5. I’m going to disagree. Light beards often seem so try-hard, while darker beards seem to outline your face better, and usually look good as long as they’re tended to and kept short.
6. I agree. Stick to good-looking clothes without looking like a clown. One or two items that make you stand out, possibly even with a story behind them, are a pretty good thing though.
7. amen
And I have to agree with Ashley/close on the wetlook. Yuck
I’d like to make one point about fitness, and it ties into being non-needy. Exercise for your own health and well being and not for external validation for looking like an underwear model. We’d all like a six pack, sure. But if the goal is purely to gain approval from females (or other males, I’m not going to discriminate), you are not truly leading an approval-seeking-free lifestyle.
Strive for true fitness, and not just big muscles. Develop a happy balance between your inner game and outer game. And at the end of the day, any exercise is good exercise.
Ollie! You saying I should get a shave??? NEVER! haha.
OlLie when it comes to fashion, your like some sort of JEDI master and it scares me haha only kidding.
Man I am booking a 1 on 1 with you soon and I cant wait!Keep up the good work,
Cheers, Noel
man, great update and rebuttle to the whole mystery peackocking/raver/trekky/i build starfleet command centers on the weekend look thats been hittin the town as of late. and i agree with the extension of love plus. the juxtapositon of the scruff/fresh and clean look oozes just enough rock star.
but to the reason that i posted. i totally agree that being in shape is key, but there is a much easier (and less meatheaded) approach then spending the equivelent of an afterschool job in the gym everyweek.
what it is? H.I.T. training. Tim Ferris of the fourhour work week (a model man for us all)explains it all here:
http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2007/04/29/from-geek-to-freak-how-i-gained-34-lbs-of-muscle-in-4-weeks/
basically its a system based on an extremely quick and extreeeemely intense workout with a simple diet that equals big gains and huge fat burns in a short period of time. it sums up like this:
diet-
6 days/wk: veggies, beans and meat
1 day/w: anything you want
lift: 2 45 min workouts a week
im only pushin this workout cause it did it for me. i use to be a college athlete but got tired of all the gym time after college and found this and im in the best shape of my life with the least time commitment ever.
ive got it down to about an hour and a half of lifting a week and the diet down to the science.
read it and let me know what yall think (the rest of his blog’s pretty fatty too)
Hey Ollie, I did the bootcamp on May 31 / June 1. Your advice in just 10-15 minutes completely blew away all the fashion and style sense I thought I had.. and replaced it with stuff so much cooler, noticeable and ATTRACTIVE to women.
One of my biggest regrets is not doing a 1-on-1 with you when I was in London, but I’ve hit the gym HARD since we met, put on 7kg of muscle, feel good about having stubble when I go out (even though one girl I hooked up with for 3 days straight asked me to shave it haha), wear skinny leg jeans and cool patterned t-shirts with nice jackets. My look gets commented on when I go out and makes me FEEL a lot smoother. Thanks so much for the advice Ollie – I look forward to that 1-on-1 with you in the future!!
Man! and that´s only to start with, id always thought that i had a good style you know? but you are de expert here, so now i can say… i got no clue!!! specially refering to jeans, i don´t have a fucking clue LOL, but now ill be more careful, will take care on some of the aspects that you mentioned here and well, im gonna skip others since i do like to look a little scrappy lol, your post is great, i love this kind of stuff, really practical, the past one was also great, but i think this applies to a wider range of puas, since, the other was maybe not everybody´s style and im glad about that, can you imagine us all puas outthere with gray blazers and painted hands in our ass? like uniform, well, Ollie, you are the man, ill be waiting for more fashion advice like this, take care.

Obviously, its an instinct for girls to be attracted to guys that work out with bulging biceps etc. But for guys to
pump up is much easier said than done.
I spent months working hard at the gym, noticed virtually no improvements, became frustrated and gave up. Then I met a bodybuilder that won competitions and stuff, he was that good. He said that before he started training people made fun of him for how skinny he was. I just assumed he was lying, or something, but then when he explained his strategy everything made sense. I just wish someone had told me this years ago.
Basically, he explained that 75% of the training is what you eat and only 25% is using weight resistance. Counter
intuitive I know, but if you think about it makes sense. To get like hulk, you have to eat like hulk. You only need to go to the gym three times a week to break down muscle tissue, but its overloading your body with protein
and resting that repairs the tissue and allows it to grow. So hitting the gym hard everyday, using the same muscles
is the worst thing you can do, since they never get the rest they need for growth and repair.
So a healthy diet would consist of three large meals a day and seven protein snacks eg. can of tuna, nuts etc. Your meals should have lots of carbohydrates, since these preserve your energy for a long time and vitamins, which are vital for maintaining bodily functions and natural feel good factors. Remember, you are what you eat, so keep it healthy, avoiding sugar at all costs. This will quickly use up your body energy resources leaving you tired and exhausted.
That´s so true PhillipC, but also that´s true for skinny guys, we guys that tend more to keep fat, need cardio excercise too, and if you do it really concious, eat right, and keep in line and doing everything, you could get a good body in 16 weeks or so, i know it i had done it, i try this program just for 8 weeks, so, just half of it to see if it worked, then i put on weight again, why? i just wanted to see if my game was equaly efective with a little belly, later i would start building muscle and improve my game even more but with the knowledge that my game was good by itself, now im about to start this program again, i put the blogspot were i kept the track of my progress here, there are pics of me from week one to 8, since i don´t know if it is aginst the forum rules, i don´t put the link to this program guide, if you would like me to post it, please one of the instructors tell me if is permited, anyway, yeah, building your body is important, but is more important to build up your game, im working on both ;)
Take care!!!

I know theres already been an influx of comments about working out but here’s one more for the hell of it.
This summer I climbed Kilimanjaro, and although you don’t need to be muscular to climb it (just fit) I decided to bulk up. I went to the gym 4 times a week for an hour and a half at a time and drank protein shakes one hour before and immediately after. It worked and I was in the best physical shape of my life by the time I did the climb.
I would also add that theres no need to blow money on all those crazy supplements or herbal remedies that promise fast muscle growth. It’s all about having effective work-outs and allowing muscles 48 hours to recover. The protein shakes helped my calorie count and obviously muscle repair.
One more quick thing about clothes; always shop around. I recently discovered that a well-known female clothes store now have a men’s clothing range. I went and checked it out and found some really good stuff. Don’t rely on the same shops as most guys, look on-line and in shops for clothes and ideas. Online shops always have pictures of models in various outfits the merchant sells, so check them out for ideas.
Cock Massive Cocks Cumshots Big Gay Cock…
I can not agree with you in 100% regarding some thoughts, but you got good point of view…
I totally agree with this post.. the workout thing kind of gets me though!
I’m skinny.. but i’m in great shape, totally toned up.. i do cardio excercise about 3-4 times a week, even got a bit of a 6 pack.. does anyone think i should concentrate more on weights and bulking up?
I got all the other things right I got a good body and good clothes, all except the hair lol. But people love my big red mohawk; I get approached a lot by girls telling me how they love it and running their hands over it ;) so what’s wrong with that? But then again I’m only 18 so maybe I can get away with it easier…And I love the ‘peacocking is sometimes a great weapon but in general you are more likely to end up looking like a peahead or just a cock’ haha quality.
