Not bothering with routines at all. Since I've tried this I've developed loads of confidence and competence in my ability to socialise. Eventually you create your own routines, as conversations follow similar paths, which you use subconsciously. It makes conversations for me much more fun when I don't know where they are going, and this keeps me more motivated to continue gaming. I think its so important to just get out there and freestyle.
