A note from Rich:
Enjoy the video guys!
Also…
If you’re looking for mentors, and you’re really serious about this all, then there’s no better place to find them than on our bootcamp training programs.
Obviously, I’m biased :-)
But seriously..
Part of the reason why our programs are so effective is because of what Matt talks about in the video – mentorship. When you come on a bootcamp, you’re side by side with the people who have the success you want.
We show you what you need to do to get it (step by step) and we also steer you away from a lot of the BS that most guys are fed from people who have no business teaching this stuff.
There’s nothing more powerful than working with the people have what you want – IN PERSON.
Working with guys who had what i wanted made the biggest difference in my game, personally, and I really believe in the power of it for anyone who is learning game.
That’s why i started running these things in the first place!

He said that the man who jumped with him on that skydivin thing did it 10 000 times…
thats 28 years if he is jumpin every simple day of the freakin plane xD it smells fishy dawg!! xD
Actually, he probably did it way more than once every day and it is very possible that he has been doing it for 10-15 years.
I feel compelled to jump out of a plane now. Its like a nagging responsibility that I’ve been neglecting my whole life.
I understand and believe in the mentoring idea but problem with the personal trainer comment is this. Most trainers I have worked with/even trained had little experience or mentoring themselves. I was lucky to have a 20 year trainer take me under her wing. Most trainers are judged on there body and can look very fit but have serious lack of information that could be very dangerous to you. I would suggest that you get one with good education/certifications and not how there abs look. Obv. you don’t want a trainer who is 10 stones overweight but you also don’t want a guy with stone head but ripped abs. Sorry for the rant but can’t stand when I see trainers doing down right dangerous things to people.
for some reason i cant view the video! there is nothing there!i see empty white space. can someone help me out here
OK, there are some logical flaws here. Assuming the guy jumps out of the plane 300 days out of the year, even twice a day (who the hell is packing his chute twice a day!), that’s over 16 years. (And who jumps absolutely every day of the year? 300 is very generous as an estimate.)
The other problem I have is that if you’re seeing hundreds and hundreds of guys in your bootcamps, and they’re all looking for mentors (presumably bootcamp instructors), you’re basically saying “we don’t actually have time to mentor anyone.”
Lastly, I don’t agree with this guy’s idea that you can just ask anyone who has what you want to be your mentor. A couple of examples. Let’s say you find a guy, a real natural, to mentor you in approaching women. His advice to you might be to “just be yourself,” and that’s OK for him, because he used to be a model and now works for an hedge fund.
Another example: let’s say you want to look like Brad Pitt from Fight Club and you go to a gym and you find a guy who looks exactly that way to train you. Sorry, but this guy doesn’t have a clue about genetics (some people need more cardio than others, for instance) or your personal limitations (like how you have weak knees). What you would actually need is someone who has the intelligence and insight to design a program for you — that’s what Brad Pitt does.
Mentors are generally good idea. Suggested by a lot of people for a long time.
The most big benefits for me are that they push you a little bit over your edge and the accountability that comes along.
Of course – as Fury says – not all people are good for mentors. First – his style may not fit yours (this happened to me at one bootcamp in my country – I was WAY to far from my comfort zone). He may ignore individual traits that everyone have and try to force through them – OR short – being master at what he does but also weak mentor.
Example – our ex football star – Hristo Stoychkov. The guy played like a demigod, was mentoring as … complete nonsense.
Lol, not to discourage you – if you approach the mentor look up open minded you’ll do better for sure. You’ll know what fits you and what doesn’t and won’t beat yourself.
Good idea but I agree Fury and Tricky. A man jumping out of a plane over 10,000 times makes me wonder what is his age and is he on meth. He out to be in the World Guinness Record for the most successful skydives.
I been saying for the longest their should be mentors these days, and employers would not have to worry about employees having the skills needed for certain technical and exprience jobs.
thanks so much for the video matt! you’re like anthony robbins :)
my GOD this guy is one of the worst presenters…ever.. His analogies are a total joke…This is basically and sales pitch, a really bad one at that…
The important part of getting a mentor is making it a win-win situation. They are obviously giving you something you want, but think about the flipside: what do you have to offer them that they could want? Can you do some web development for them? Or buy them lunch? Or help them in another area of their life where you have expertise? If you have something of value to offer, and can find the right person, then finding a mentor is easy. When someone approaches me for help, the ones I am naturally drawn to are the ones that can offer me something of value in return. We all want to help as many guys as possible, and our time is very limited, so the cream naturally rises to the top.
You guys who are doubting that he jumped 10k times are so so dumb, am laughing at you.The 10k times was used figuratively to show he did it so many many timnes.Of course no one sits there and counts how any times he has jumped each day of the year.Style up and think deep .
Now I know why they say there is always that negative guy regardless of how they try to motivate him
yo Aerol
u made me check the vid out again man!

There is an old saying : If you’re not sure of what your talking about, then dont say it.
I AM a skydiver. 10k is very frequent (more than you would imagine) in our community. Skydivers are 150% devoted to this sport – adrenaline..
Those people with so many jumps do it: not once, not twice, but 5 to 7 times / day, sometimes more depending on the schedules.
This is their JOB. They jump, that’s what they do. Period. They love it. And guess what.. They are paid for doing that & they also have their canopy done by someone else (who is also paid for it).. and they have got 2 or 3 canopies anyway, not only one. So as soon as they land, they can run to the next plane and take off again.
And EVERY SINGLE DAY, they help beginners. For YEARS (they have 10 to 30 years of skydiving). They work during the regular week and go back to the dropzone during their free time to jump again & agin, for themselves this time.
I personaly know one of the world champion of freefry. 16k + jumps. He’s not only a mentor to us, but a very great guy who spend all his free time helping others. Even beginners with 2 or 3 jumps only. ESPECIALLY beginners with 2 or 3 jumps only.
Btw, they do not keep track manually of their jumps anymore, the computer does it, and also their personnal digital altimeter does it.
I think this video is very good.
Thanks Matt & Rich

I can’t believe how many people went off on the metaphor. Did all of those people really miss the point of Matt’s story?
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not necessary to forget the skydiving reference and just focus on the reasoning behind the story, but if you were to just look at the reasons for why Matt told this particular story, then you might see that Matt was just illustrating a time when he felt nervous and relied on a mentor’s strengths to get him through an otherwise tough situation. Then you might begin to feel that the real benefits a person could gain from this video would be to find mentors in all walks of life, in addition to pick up.
Anyways, thanks to the PUA Training guys for sharing this with the community. It was nice of you guys to post free content and share it with us.

Hi webmaster – This is by far the best looking site I’ve seen. It was completely easy to navigate and it was easy to look for the information I needed. Fantastic layout and great content! Every site should have that. Awesome job
