An Important point for the starter PUAs

hey guys

I want to touch on an important point for the starter PUAs rather than the advanced guys.

After a few hours of theory I regularly send my students out on day game. I accompany them to a bookstore, café, gallery, museum, department store, etc.

Before sending him on an approach, I remind him of the three vital elements of pick up which I would have already taught him in the theory session (a blog post for another time.) After helping him locate his target, I find my position to make sure I can not only see him but hear him too, and off he goes, beaming with high energy, high status value and a general positive frame of mind. This is a typical scenario in Waterstones bookstore, a particular store which is very large (7 floors) and where a surprisingly large amount of females seem to go to in the late afternoon.

The Student goes in to open an HB 7, who is casually browsing the “self help” section (excellent start).

The importance of opening

I want to look at the actual importance of an opening; the question being: is it the most important part of pick up or maybe the least?

I usually go with the latter statement but I also accept that in some situations the “opener” can be more of a major factor than in other circumstances.

However, I stick by my opinion that it is never beneficial when one is putting too much energy and emphasis into a fixed a routine, or getting hung up too much on that killer opener.

Lipstick Lesbians

A student, the other week, asked my advice on what he should have done in a certain situation, which happened to him the previous night. He went to a club which had a really hot looking woman, with two particular women dancing on the floor doing a “light” lesbian dance routine.

You know the ones, where they aren’t really lesbians, and think its amusing that all the guys will notice them and want them, rather than the other hot girls in the room. Anyway, they kept looking over at him, and gave strong eye contact as they danced provocatively together in the middle of the room,(the student in my opinion is a good looking guy, which is why they were probably giving him eye contact) he said he did not know how to handle the situation, and just left it, with that “what if?” frame of mind for the rest of the night.

The power of personal amusement

Now let us imagine that pick up was a medieval court. At the top you have the alphas of the court, which, in this case would be, the dukes, the princes and, of course, the King.
Lower down the ranks and roles of the court, you will find the musicians, the servants, and of course everybody’s favorite; the jester.
The jester makes the audience laugh; he entertains them by being the buffoon, and essentially bowing to their every whim.
Sounds like a popular and loveable fellow on paper, but in reality, a very lonely one. The problem with the jester is when he has finished his routine and the audience begins to feast on the royal banquet, he is not invited to join the table, and even if he had a table to himself, no one would even contemplate joining him.
